TAMUC Faculty and Staff Celebrated for Completion of Year-Long Certification Program

Several employees of Texas A&M University-Commerce were recognized for the completion of a year-long certification program administered by the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE). According to the association’s website, ACUE was founded to help students succeed by improving the quality of educators. One of the certifications offered by ACUE is the Certificate for Effective College Instruction. The following 16 A&M-Commerce faculty and staff earned the certification for the 2023-24 academic year:

The recipients were honored at a ceremony held at A&M-Commerce in August. Leading the celebration was Dr. Carrie Klypchak, senior executive director of academic investment at A&M-Commerce and ACUE campus lead. Also in attendance was Dr. Kimberley Rynearson, assistant vice chancellor for faculty innovation for the Texas A&M University System.

Klypchak had high praise for this year’s cohort and was eager to see how they implement their new skills in the classroom.

“These are all stellar educators,” Klypchak said. “So to see them say ‘I want to learn more skills to improve our student’s lives’ is really great to see.”
